Regal's Report

January 19, 1999

THE THEATER DEPARTMENT is casting the show "No Witness" that will be presented in Kiehle Auditorium February 9 and 10. The play is about date rape and the action takes place in a courtroom. There are parts for about a dozen men and women who play parts typical for courtroom dramas. The script only runs about 45 minutes. For more information about tryouts and the show, please contact George French via E-mail or all him at 281-8266. All UMC students are encouraged to participate.

**TONIGHT**COMEDIAN ON CAMPUS--Humorist Tim Young will perform Tuesday, January 19 at 8:00 p.m. in Bede Ballroom. The performance is free and open to the public. Part innocent child, part devil's advocate, Young's style encompasses everything from the physical to the cerebral. He delights audiences with his inventive, off-beat and mischievous brand of humor. He has a unique method of weaving characters and stories together that makes it impossible for audiences (Regal pick of the week is: Lacy Casavan) to take their eyes off him. In addition to performing at over 150 colleges across the country, Young has headlined NBC's "Friday Night", and has been featured on MTV's "The Jim Breuer Show" and "Apartment 2F". He has also been seen at the Montreal "Just for Laughs" Comedy Festival and in New York City's Toyota Comedy Festival for three straight years.

All resumes posted will indicate the year that the student is in college and their graduation date for employer's information. If you are a student all you need to register is your laptop computer and an idea of how to create a resume anyplace, anytime, 24 hours a day. WEB EMPLOYER—Web Employer is a component that empowers employers we work with to post positions and search for candidate resumes over the web. This means less data entry for our office and staff and fewer hassles with faxing candidate resumes. Web Employer gives 1stPlace! up-to-date information on all employer activity by creating referral records so that we know which employers are contacting which applicants. Employers can only view active applicant resumes and are restricted from viewing any additional applicant information. Web components allow us to track and administer every interaction students and employers have with the system from the 1stPlace! database within our office. For more information contact the Counseling and Career Center, Bede Hall, room 106.
