Experience:

I worked six day weeks caring for the race horses at the stable and learning how to t rain and what to look for in a good racehorse.  I did get to ride but mostly just polo horses. 

 

What I liked most about
the job:

 

I learned the most from performing the tasks I was given as well as listening to the foreman and supervisor talk.  I learned a lot from just listening to them talk about solutions to various problems with the horses.

 

Challenges on the job:

 

 

I found working with the thoroughbreds the most challenging.  They are highly excitable and would often want to run when you needed them to walk.  Little things would scare them and they need a constant, calming influence to keep them relaxed.
