Leadership in AAC and
SSS
As
of January 1, 2002, I have asked Rand Rasmussen to take over the
administrative leadership of both Student Support Services and the
Academic Assistance Center. His leadership will allow for some
continuity and coordination in the services provided and will also allow
us to more efficiently utilize the staff time that is available. With
Lynn Gevens leaving UMC we will now be able to fill her position with a
full time "clinical" staff member (interviews now being scheduled)
without a portion of the time dedicated to administration in the AAC
and, thus, even more effectively meet the needs of students with
disabilities and other students needing support. Thanks to Rand for his
willingness to take on these extra responsibilities, and thank you to
the members of the campus community for your involvement in these
student support activities.
