University of Minnesota, Crookston Project No. 891-98-1075

Another construction project is the expansion to the existing equine stable at the University Teaching and Outreach Center (UTOC). UMC has the only baccalaureate equine management program in the upper Midwest. This has created almost a 50% increase in student enrollment over the past four years, therefore creating a need for a larger and improved equine facility. The expansion will benefit students by providing better access to horses and enhancing the student educational program experiences with a breeding program. 4-H youth and adults will also be able to benefit by having their needs for summer equine facilities met. The UTOC stable expansion will feature additional stalls, a breeding area, bedding storage area, hay storage, and cold storage space.

The new addition will provide another 10,800 square feet to the north side of UTOC.
