UMC IHSA Team
Qualifies
for National Competition
The University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) Western Riding Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) team qualified to compete for the national title at national competition May 2-4 in South Hadley, MA. The UMC team qualified for national competition on March 22 in Lafayette, IN.
Individuals qualifying for regional competition which will be held April 13 in Terra Haute, IN include: Charlotte Raguse of Tintah, MN in open pattern and rail classes; Melissa Cave of Cook, MN in advanced; Peggy Tessier of Moorhead in advanced; Nikki Fiorini of Chisholm, MN in intermediate; Ann Gallant of Staples, MN in intermediate; Callie Sordahl of Menahga in intermediate; Kim Stennes of East Grand Forks in walk-trot class.
Other team members include: Shellie Gierach, Mequon WI; Rebecca Jelinek, Park River; Jenny Olson, Big Fork; Bobbi Lerud, Ada; and Tara Kude, Plymouth. The team is coached by Dr. Melissa Hower and Sharon Escue.
