Mark Olsonawski Named to Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette's NAIA Division II All-American Team

University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) punt returner Mark Olsonawski was named a third-team All-American by Don Hansen’s National Weekly Football Gazette’s NAIA Division II Football Selection Committee.

A native of Hallock, MN, Mark was a dominate force in the NDCAC this season as he led the conference in punt returns and receptions. Mark was also named to the NAIA Division II Football All-American team this year.

“It’s not only a great honor for Mark, but also reflects positively for our football program not only at the local level but nationally, we are definitely making strides in the right direction.” said Head Coach Scott Oliver. “I am very happy for Mark as he was selected as an All-American from two separate associations. We plan to move Mark to the tailback position for his junior season where we hope to get him even more involved in the offense,” said Oliver.

Mark is a dual athlete as he also plays on the UMC hockey team. He is a sophomore at UMC majoring in Plant Industries Management.
