This is rescheduled from Saturday's show, which was cancelled due to the weather. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and children. Thickets are available in advance at the Nicholas Collection in Crookston, at the Bede Information Desk on the UMC campus, and from members of the UMC Choir. Tickets will also be available at the door. “42nd Street” is the story of Julian Marsh (played by Kelly Bisek), an aging producer who encounters a series of roadblocks while producing what he knows will be his last show. His main problem centers around his leading lady, Dorothy Brock (played by Sara Hegge), who breaks her ankle just before opening night. Faced with few options, Marsh must turn to Peggy Sawyer (played by Lizel Coetzee), an inexperienced but talented girl from the chorus line. He works with his new star for a single day, then sends her on stage saying, “You’re going out a youngster, but you’ve got to come back a star.” Sawyer’s journey to stardom also includes a love interest detour in the form of Billy Lawlor (played by Brian Wene). The show includes several production numbers and popular Broadway standards including “We’re in the Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “Shuffle of to Buffalo,” as well as the title signature piece “42nd Street.” The script was written by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble, with music by Harry Warren and lyrics by Al Dubin. Other cast members include UMC students Jillian Gast, Tim Gerla, Michelle Gregg, Melissa Knott, Saul LaCoursiere, Ivan LaCoursiere, Amy Lampi, Ming Lee, Lori Lucken, David Ounchith, Karalyn Pazdernik, Amber Quinn, David Reiners, Roland Sanchez, Hannah Schmidt, Lacey Schmitz, Matt Smith, Alicia Vechik, Chad Woinarowicz, and Pat Wynne.
