Comedian Daniel Tosh to Perform at UMC Friday, January 19Comedian Daniel Tosh will perform at UMC on Friday, January 19, 2001. The performance will begin at 8:00 p.m. in Bede Ballroom and is free for UMC students, faculty, and staff. The event is open to the public with a $2 admission charge. Tosh’s show has been described as “hilarious, energetic, clean, original, and really, really funny.” Tosh was born in Germany and raised in Florida. In his last year of college at the University of Central Florida, he was encouraged to hit the stand-up stage. The experience led him to a career in stand-up comedy, but only after he graduated with honors in finance and marketing. In 1998 Tosh made his comedy festival debut at the Chicago Comedy Festival. Since then, he has served as host of the USA Network’s show “10’s,” a weekly series of man-on-the-beach interviews and sketches shot in and around Miami, and he has appeared various TV commercials--all in addition to his standup performances across the country. The performance is sponsored by UMC’s Student Programming and Activities for Campus Entertainment (SPACE) Committee. Disability accommodations can be made by calling 218-281-8506.For more information including audio clips, visit http://www.straussmcgarr.com/daniel/ Daniel Tosh is managed by Barbara
