Dahlgren’s Prairie Topp to Speak at UMC Spring Convocation Feb. 28
UMC will hold its Spring Semester Convocation on Wednesday, February 28, at 10 a.m. in Bede Ballroom. Shane Roers, Crookston Student Association President, will serve as master of ceremonies. All interested students, faculty, staff and local community members are invited to attend.
Roers will introduce special guest speaker Prairie Topp. Topp is an international sales and marketing manager for Dahlgren and Company, a global supplier of sunflower products. Topp will discuss issues of global marketing, international business, and agriculture.
Topp lives with her husband and daughter in rural Grace City, North Dakota. Her job responsibilities involve developing markets and market strategies within specific regions including France, Italy, Mexico, and Central and South America. She also coordinates information for Dahlgren’s website (www.sunflowerseed.com), company brochures, and their trade show booth.
The UMC Choir will perform a set of musical selections under the direction of Associate Professor of Music George French. UMC Chancellor Don Sargeant and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Doug Knowlton will recognize members of the Chancellor’s 4.0 Club from Spring Semester 2000. Winter varsity athletics captains will recognize their respective teams and provide updates on their accomplishments.
