UMC Presents Thanksgiving Program Nov. 20

Students at the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) will present their annual Thanksgiving program Monday, November 20, at 8 p.m. in the Bede Hall Ballroom on the UMC Campus.  The performance is free and open to the public.

The UMC Choir, under the direction of George French, Associate Professor of Music and Theater, will perform six choral selections interspersed with special readings by students involved in UMC’s Cooperative Campus Ministry.  Pastor Daniel Wolpert, minister at the Crookston Presbyterian Church, will be the special guest speaker.   Refreshments will be served after the hour-long nondenominational program.

The choir sings “Carol of Beauty” as arranged by Richard Smith

A Thanksgiving message by Pastor Daniel Wolpert, Crookston Presbyterian Church

Congregational prayer

The choir sings “Great Is the Lord” by Rose Marie Cooper and Warren Angell

Closing and final prayer by Rebecca Kuechle

The choir sings “Bring Him Home” by Herbert Kretzmer and Claude-Michel Schönberg and “The River” by Garth Brooks and Victoria Shaw
