Third Annual Equine Extravaganza at UMC February 21-23 Students enrolled in the equine industries management degree program at the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) will sponsor the Third Annual Equine Extravaganza on Friday, February 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the University Teaching and Outreach Center Arena on the north edge of the UMC campus. Repeat performances will take place on Saturday, February 22, at 6:30 p.m. and on Sunday, February 23, at 2 p.m. The theme will be “A Night at the Circus.” The event is open to the public. Advanced tickets to each performance cost $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 12 and under. To reserve tickets, contact members of the UMC Horseman’s Association or UMC Rodeo Association, or contact Melissa Miller via e-mail at ummm005@umn.edu or via phone at 218-281-2335. Tickets will be available at the door only if space permits for one dollar above the advanced ticket cost. UMC equine industries management students and others will showcase their horse handling skills on UMC horses and student owned horses. Demonstrations will include dressage, rodeo, jumping, Western riding skills, horse comedy, breed demonstrations, and a drill team. The event is scheduled to last about two hours.
