Phil Palisoul

Phil Palisoul Brings His Comedy to UMC October 9

Comedian Phil Palisoul will perform Wednesday, October 9, at the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC).  The performance will begin at 8 p.m. in Bede Ballroom on the UMC Campus.  Admission is free to UMC students and $2 for all others.  The event is open to the public.

Phil Palisoul builds his show from a playful and silly mixture of life experiences.  He touches on childhood memories (growing up in a typical suburban neighborhood, in a typical suburban family) and married life.  His comedy has made him a favorite in television, corporate shows, comedy clubs and colleges across the country.

Palisoul began his comedy career in Denver and quickly became one of the top acts in the city.  He was soon headlining comedy clubs across the country.  In 1994 he moved to Los Angeles, where he became a regular at the World Famous Hollywood Improv and the legendary Pasadena Ice House.  He also began a successful career as a television writer.

In addition to landing a spot at the prestigious 1999 HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, Palisoul has continued to perform his stand-up routine on such shows as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Louie Anderson's Comedy Showcase, and A&E's Caroline's Comedy Hour.
