UMC Theater to Perform “Run for Your Wife” April 22-25

Students involved in University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) Theater will perform the comedy “Run for Your Wife” Tuesday, April 22, through Friday, April 25.  Performances will run nightly, starting at 7:30 p.m. in Kiehle Auditorium on the UMC campus.  Tickets can be purchased at the door and cost $1 for UMC students with UCard student ID and $4 for others.

“Run for Your Wife,“ a British farce by Ray Cooney, is the story of taxi cab driver John Smith, his wife Mary, and his other wife Barbara.  He is able to get away with this double life because of his irregular work schedule—that is until he is involved in an accident.  When the police come to investigate, complications arise as the harried cabbie tries to keep his two lives separate and make sure his wives don’t find out about each other.

The cast, directed by UMC student Marissa Koppy of Big Lake, MN, includes:

  • John Smith – Nathan Hoff of Ada, MN
  • Mary Smith – Diane Delperdang of Burnsville, MN
  • Barbara Smith – Jennifer Orcutt of Conrad, MT
  • Stanley Gardner – Daniel Webster of McIntosh, MN
  • Detective-Sergeant Troughton – Noelle Jarvis of Eden Prairie, MN
  • Detective Sergeant Porterhouse – Matthew Johnson of Bigfork, MN
  • Bobby Franklyn – Brandon Sykora of Browns Valley, MN
  • Reporter – Kristie Schill of Langdon, ND
