Singer Eric Addington to Perform at UMC November 12 Singer Eric Addington will perform at the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) Wednesday, November 12, at 8 p.m. in the Eagles Nest Lounge in Sahlstrom Conference Center. The performance is open to the public. Admission is free. Based in Moorhead, Minnesota, Addington has been performing in some capacity since 1995—whether as half of Flatlands, an acoustic duo with Bill Lempe, or with fellow singer-songwriter Josh Harty opening for some of the biggest names in the world of blues, or as a solo artist with only his voice and acoustic guitar. Addington combines folk and finger style with subtle blues influences into his melodic guitar playing, and he writes songs that evoke emotional yet intelligent responses in his audiences. He has shared the stage with some notable performers including b.b. King, Indigenous, Kelly Joe Phelps, Jeff Lang, Fred Eaglesmith, Storyhill, Chris Cunningham, Justin Roth, and John Hermanson. Learn more at the Addinton’s website: <www.ericaddington.com>. His performance is sponsored by the UMC Student Center.
