University of Minnesota, Crookston Wordmark"Funny Money" Performed at UMC Feb. 19-22

The comedy "Funny Money" will be performed by the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) Music/Theater Department February 19 through 22 in Kiehle Auditorium. Performances on Thursday through Saturday are at 7:30 p.m. with the Sunday performance at 3:00 p.m.

In the play, Henry Perkins picks up the wrong briefcase on the subway, and it contains 735,000 pounds. When he finally gets home for the birthday dinner his wife has planned, he quickly books air flights out of the country. From then on pure insanity develops, as the Perkins' friends show up for dinner, the cab driver comes to take them to the airport, and two police sergeants show up, neither of them know about the money, but everybody thinks that they do!! It is a hilarious British comedy sure to keep everyone in stitches.

Cast members include: Darci Delage of Brooks, Matt Smith of Wheaton, Scott Wright of Warroad, Morgan Walsh of Red Lake Falls, Margaret Harrington of Crookston, Nick Dufault of Crookston and Eric Perkins of Crookston.
