UMC Observes Veterans' Day with Special Program

A Veterans’ Day Commemoration will be held Tuesday, November 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Morsels (in the Sahlstrom Conference Center). A short service is planned with the Second Vice Commander of the National Disabled American Veterans speaking. UMC students who are veterans will take part in the program. Veterans will also have a table with pictures and memorabilia on display.

UMC’s Pep Band will lead the procession to the veterans' memorial near the campus entrance. Representatives from the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars will take part in the ceremony. Chaplain Powell will do the invocation and the placement of the memorial wreath.

This event is open to all UMC students, faculty and staff. The public is also welcome to attend.
