UMC's Aakre Receives FFA Degree

Paul Aakre, assistant professor of mechanized agriculture at the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC), received the Region I Honorary FFA Degree.

The award was given to Aakre for putting together excellent mechanized agriculture contests over a number of years, and for his contribution to contests at Ag Activities Day.

Aakre is a 1968 graduate of Pelican Rapids High School. In 1970 he graduated from UMC with an associate degree in agriculture. He received his bachelor of science in ag education and master of science in agricultural mechanization from North Dakota State University. Aakre joined the UMC staff in 1977.

Aakre was the recipient of the honorary State FFA Degree from the Minnesota FFA in 1986.
