King and Queen at Ag-Arama 1999

Neil Wiese of Humboldt and Natalie Foltz of Callaway were crowned 1999 King and Queen at the annual University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) Ag-Arama which was held recently at the University Teaching and Outreach Complex.
Other royalty includes Renae Hartwig, Swanville; Bonnie Haehnel, Motley; Kim Fedje, Evansville; Renae Henderson, Glenwood; Jeff Pokorney, Bertha; John Quackenbush, Chokio; Andrew Jenson, Welch and Mark Martens, Madison SD.
Ag-Arama provides students the opportunity to showcase their knowledge and skills in their individual interest areas. Contests were held in horticulture, agriculture aviation, agronomy, soils, natural resources, mechanized agriculture and animal science showmanship.
Ag-Arama was planned by a committee of students and advised by a faculty member of the agricultural management division, Larry Leake, assistant professor and program manager of agricultural aviation.
Through Ag-Arama, students learn organizational skills by serving on committees. Ag-Arama gives students the opportunity to interact with each other and with faculty members through the various contests.
