K-12 Schools: A Rural-Urban Conversation with Crookston and Lucille’s Kitchen Connection live on radio will be Tuesday, April 20, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. in Kiehle 133 on the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) campus. |

The next conversation with our urban neighbors at Lucille’s Kitchen in north Minneapolis will focus on K-12 Education. The community is invited to participate in the discussion which goes live on Minnesota Public Radio all across the state.
The focus will be on challenges facing schools in rural Crookston and urban North Minneapolis. School Superintendents from both districts are invited as special guests. Citizens at each location will have opportunity to make comments and ask questions, and phone calls will be taken from the radio listening audience.
If you can’t join the group at UMC, we invite you to listen on any Minnesota Public Radio Station.
Connecting Lucille’s Kitchen and the University of Minnesota, Crookston provides opportunity for citizens from different backgrounds to explore common interests. At a time when the disconnect between urban and rural seems to be widening, this project uses technology to connect citizens around issues that are important to the public good.
