Eric E.

One-man Jukebox Eric E. to perform at UMC February 23

Eric E. will perform at the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) on Wednesday, February 23, 2000 beginning at 11:30 a.m. in Brown Dining Room.  Eric E. received a CO-OP booking at 28 colleges after his first NACA showcase.  The performance is free.

A concert with Eric is unique because he asks the audience members to create their own concert play list.  Those in the audience simply yell out any year of the last eight decades, and Eric plays them a hit song from that year.  With only an acoustical guitar and a clear tenor voice, he performs an amazing variety of songs – Duke Ellington to Chuck Berry, Charlie Parker to Tom Petty, Lynyrd Skynard to Pearl Jam.

Eric’s incredible guitar playing creates an accompaniment that’s unusually full for a one-man’s show.  Add powerful originals, blues, jazz and lighthearted humor and you have an unforgettable show.  At a recent college performance the audience was up dancing during 90% of the show.

The program is sponsored by the Student Programming and Activities for Campus Entertainment (SPACE) committee.  Disability accommodations can be made by calling 218-281-8587.
