GLBT Student Services
Services


   The GLBT Student Services office provides a variety of services for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community at UMC.  We are also here to forge stronger gay-straight alliances.  From individual and group counseling to information and referal, we are here to help.  We can help with finding the gay community, coming out, family issues, and to support other organizations and individuals that benefit the gay community here at UMC.

    The GLBT office provides services and support for all campus members.  Student, faculty, or staff, the GLBT office has something to offer you.

  • For Students:

    • Individual Counseling

    • Group Counseling

    • Education on your rights as a GLBT student and community member.

    • Information, counseling and referral for harrasments and discrimination issues.

  • For Faculty & Staff

    • Consultation on sexual orientation issues in your classroom or program.

    • Referrals for speakers on sexual orientation issues.

  • For Students, Faculty & Staff

    • Tips on coming out and coming out in the workplace.

    • Coordination with GLBT services across the U of M system.

    • Assistance in linking with the local & regional GLBT communities.
