Streaming Media
What is streaming Media?
Streaming Media is compressed video and/or audio delivered over the Internet.
How can I use streaming video?

There are a variety of uses for streaming video.

Teaching: Lectures can be reviewed by students.

Presentations: Video can be synchronized with your PowerPoint presentation.

Training: Make sure all employees and/or students receive complete and correct training. And you just have to show them once.

What is the difference between streaming & downloading a video?

When a video is streamed to your computer, you do not have to wait for a large video file download to complete. The video begins a few seconds after you click on the link. While streaming gives you immediate access to your video, the quality may suffer because of bandwidth limitations. Downloading a complete video file may take a considerable amount of time, depending upon the file size and your internet connection speed, but once the file is on your hard drive the the video may be viewed at its intended quality level.
