The Business Challenge

The Business Challenge is a competition for high school students to learn more about the different areas of business (management, marketing, accounting/finance), and how these functions all work together in a business.
After attending this event students will:
- Have a better knowledge of basic management, marketing, and accounting/finance concepts
- Have experience completing a case study, which is a common assessment activity/assignment in college courses
- Experienced the U of M Crookston campus and have a better idea of what they can expect in their college classes
Prior to the event students will be given a business scenario, or case study, will be asked to make management, marketing, accounting, and finance decisions. At the event students will also be given an interactive game (in excel), or simulation, to help them to make their decisions! After making their business decisions, students will present their recommendations.
Winning teams will be recognized at an award ceremony at the end of the day.
