The audience will rise for the processional and remain standing for the National Anthem.
A Touch of Brass

The processional is led by the Mace-Bearer, William Peterson. The procession includes
Faculty Marshal W. Daniel Svedarsky, Ph.D., the faculty, staff, candidates for degrees, and platform guests.

Requesting Accommodations Related to a Disability

If you have family members attending the May 8, 2010 ceremony who use wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, canes, or cannot climb bleacher stairs, you are encouraged to arrange for accessible floor seating. A graduate may request to have up to FOUR seats reserved for family members, but if you don’t need them, please leave them for others who do.

Reserved seating will be opened at 1:00 and held until 1:45 at which time persons without tickets may be seated in the area.

To request reserved seating, email your name (graduate), the number of reserved seats needed, and a campus or home address where tickets can be sent to Laurie Wilson at lwilson2@umn.edu by April 20.

Tickets for reserved seating will be sent out to the campus or specified address on or before May 3.
