Business Source Premier - EBSCOhost to search for company profiles (DataMonitor company reports), industry profiles and market research reports by company name, industry or subject and to search for articles in business periodicals. Use the Business Searching Interface to search for Company Profiles (including SWOT analysis), Industry Profiles and Market Research Reports. (Full Text). 

Business Insights: Essentials (GALE) contains information on companies including SWOT analysis, and company fundamentals and investment research reports. It also contains industry rankings, profiles, market share data, and company histories and a tool to create a list of companies using SIC and NAICS codes location revenue and number of employees.

Nexis Uni - Contains full-text documents from over 6,000 news, business, and legal publications, with a variety of flexible search options. Company search provides access to business and financial news, company financial information, market research, industry reports, SWOT analysis and actual SEC filings. Search features permit comparison of companies based on criteria such as sales, income and number of employees. (Full Text) 

Regional Business News (EBSCO) This database provides comprehensive full text coverage for regional business publications. Regional Business News incorporates coverage of 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States. This database is updated on a daily basis. 

Small Business Resource Center (GALE) Search this database to learn how to start, finance or manage your small business. Resources include sample business plans, how to guides, articles and websites. Includes material from the print version of the Small Business Sourcebook, Encyclopedia of Business Information Sources, numerous Dummies books, and articles from many trade publications.

Standard & Poor’s NetAdvantage is a comprehensive source of business and investment information, offering on-line access to Standard & Poor’s independent research, data and commentary on stocks, bonds, funds, and industries.

General Databases

Academic OneFile (Gale) contains nearly 14,000 indexed titles, including more than 10,000 peer-reviewed journals and more than 6,500 in full-text. It has extensive coverage of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other subjects.

Academic Search Premier - contains indexing for nearly 8,050 publications, with full text for more than 4,600 of those titles. PDF back files to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable references are provided for more than 1,000 titles. Academic Search Premier contains full text coverage in biology, chemistry, education, engineering, humanities, physics, psychology, religion and theology, sociology, etc.

Ebsco Mega File - A multi-disciplinary database providing full text for more than 19,900 total publications and indexing & abstracting for more than 25,000 publications. Coverage spans every area of academic study and general interest subject area and offers information dating as far back as the 1800s. In addition, the database contains more than 84,000 biographies, 83,000 primary source documents, 10,000 company profiles and an image collection of more than 107,000 photos, maps and flags. This database is updated daily.

Google Scholar - A Google search engine which indexes peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts, and other scholarly literature from a variety of academic publishers and professional societies, as well as scholarly articles available across the web. UMC Library has enabled linking to the full text of articles located in Google Scholar using FindIt the UMC Library Linking service

Historical Statistics of the United States - The online version of the Millennial Edition of Historical Statistics of the United States is the single most comprehensive compendium of historical U.S. statistics available. It covers the social, economic, political and geographic data collected by the Census Bureau and other agencies of the United States government. Each chapter provides extensive documentation for the sources of the statistics. Data can downloaded in Excel or CSV. Custom tables can be created which can also be downloaded, printed, or graphed.
