    The University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) was host to aspiring young scientists and environmental stewards when the10th anniversary of the River Watch program in the Red River Basin was held in Kiehle Auditorium on March 2. UMC’s Natural Resources Department co-hosted the River Watch Forum attended by over 150 high school students from 19 schools in northwest Minnesota and northeastern North Dakota.

    The University of Minnesota Music-Theater Department is presenting the musical “Little Shop of Horrors” Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, March 9, 10, and 11 at 8:00 p.m. in Kiehle Auditorium on the UMC Campus. Admission is $5 adults, $3 children and students, and $1 for UMC students except on Wednesday when UMC students are admitted free.

    Eric Stromstad a UMC senior majoring in Golf Facilities and Turf Systems (GFTS) was awarded the North Dakota Golf Association Scholarship. The scholarship was presented by Bruce Kary of the Dickenson Parks and Recreation department last week at the association’s annual meeting.

The scholarship was presented by Sam Davis of the Wildwood Golf Course and Bruce Kary of the Dickenson Parks and Recreation department last week at the association’s annual meeting.
