Jazz Band Concert on Saturday, March 5
The Jazz Band will be presenting a spring concert on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 7:30pm in the Kiehle Auditorium. The concert will feature Andy Cresap (in photo) on trumpet and will be free and open to the public. The concert will also feature U of M Crookston students and Crookston High School students as soloists throughout the evening.
Biography of Andy Cresap
Andy Cresap was born and raised in Minot, N.D. He earned an undergraduate degree in music performance from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minn., and attended graduate school at the University of North Texas (UNT). While at UNT, Andy performed in many ensembles, including the six-time Grammy nominated, One O’Clock Lab Band. He has appeared with artists Aretha Franklin, Skip Martin, Wayne Bergeron, Stockton Helbing, Dennis Diblasio, Frank Greene, and Steve Wiest. Andy is currently a freelance musician in Las Vegas and is a member of the band for the R&B vocal group, Boyz II Men.
