Ox Cart Days Ice Cream Social

The 2017 Ox Cart Days festival will kick off with the annual Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at the University of Minnesota Crookston from 3 to 5 p.m. on the Campus Mall. Atposter 4:45 p.m., the first clue for the 2017 Ox Cart Days Medallion Hunt will be announced. Free ice cream will be provided. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend this free event. No parking permits are required and Parking Lot G, outside of Kiehle building is recommended for easy access to the Campus Mall.

The U of M Crookston Bookstore will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day and will offer a $6.99 t-shirt sale. Minnesota State Fair tickets also will be available at a reduced price. The theme for Ox Cart Days, which runs August 15-20, is “Get Fired Up.” It features a classic car show, bed races, 5k & 10k races, airboat rides and more. To learn more, visit
