What Nielsen got out of the NWSA was far beyond the typical educational experience.
The nest was meticulously built with twigs and branches harvested from the Red River Valley Natural History Area and carried the University’s mascot, Regal the Golden Eagle, all while representing current international students with flags flown from different countries.
We had a fantastic, whirlwind summer hosting camps and celebrations on our beautiful campus.
UMN Crookston will host the Region 1 FFA Leadership Retreat and Conference August 3 and 4 with approximately 125 youth leaders from grades 9-12 in attendance. This two-day experience focuses on leadership development, career exploration, and agricultural innovation for FFA members across the region.
